The new machine, designed specially for
office use, is based on the same technology that made the IMPRESSA F50 the
outright winner in a comparison of fully automatic and espresso machines
in the December 2004 issue of «Stiftung Warentest» (Germany’s best-known
consumer advice magazine). For the first time ever, one fully automatic
machine made a resounding impression with a «very good» espresso flavour
and a «very good» crema.
Apart from
making a top-quality cup of coffee, the new machine is unusually designed
and has a clear-cut operating concept, with all maintenance at the touch
of a button. Where a daily capacity of around 30 cups is called for, the
compact IMPRESSA XF50 has got what it takes.
The impressa FX50 digital system provides easy access to every option available, temperature control, adjustable liquid dosing (between 1 and 16
oz), and auto-on, with clearly marked buttons, control knobs, and a
straightforward LED display. Includes pre-programmed rinse, cleaning,
and decalcification cycles, reducing monthly maintenance to the push of a
button.
The reservoir also holds a
Clearyl Water Filtration System, which filters calcium and other minerals
out of the water before it reaches the internal portions of the machine,
and will eliminate decalcifying if used properly.
The
FX50 comes with a Clearyl water filter, cleaning tablet, a water hardness test strip, a 7 gram coffee scoop.
