Direct-to-Brew system features excellent heat distribution and
consistently ground beans to ensure the freshest espresso or
pressure-brewed coffee every time.
The Perfecta also features a digital programmable menu setting allow you
to adjust start time, auto shut off, clock, temperature of the coffee and
water hardness. Plus there are five settings for coffee strength: extra
mild, mild, regular, strong, and extra strong. The rotary control panel
even allows you to easily choose the size of cup you want from small (ristretto)
to large (American coffee).
The professional quality conical burr grinder lets you choose among 13
grind settings and the double boiler system provides fast heat up and no
waiting between brewing and frothing. Even though it's compact, the
Delonghi Perfecta holds 60 ounces of water and can hold over seven ounces
of fresh beans. It also features a height adjustable coffee spout. You can

The
clever DeLonghi Perfecta Coffee Maker really does make a hassle-free cup
of coffee.
You can use your favourite fresh beans or ground coffee, with the
one-touch operation ensuring a perfect espresso every time.The integrated burr grinder has 7 adjustable coarseness settings while an
adjustable height coffee dispenser can accommodate either full-size or
espresso cups.An electronic temperature control lets you set your coffee from piping hot
to medium temperature.High performance 15 bar pump pressure guarantees a great crema too.You’ll also enjoy a fantastic milky head thanks to the ‘single touch’ milk
carafe and frothing system. A useful double boiler system, with one boiler

The DeLonghi Perfecta 5500M brings to the table a new level of
functionality to match its impressive design. Front and center is the
rotary dial that lets you choose between any of 5 different beverages,
including the sought after "My Coffee" option. Program a cup of coffee or
shot of espresso, and you can brew either one or two cups in a single
setting. The rotary dial is part of the versatile control panel with a
large LCD screen to help you easily navigate through all of the Perfecta
5500's features from brewing, to automatic startup, to descaling and so
on. You can even change both the taste and temperature of your coffee in
just a split second.
The DeLonghi Perfecta 5500 offers an innovative single touch cappuccino
and latte system that requires no additional counter top space to use.
With the touch of only one button, you will enjoy perfect lattes and
cappuccinos every time! The patented design includes a 25 ounce cold milk
container with an adjustable lever to switch from cappuccinos and lattes.
The detachable milk container stores easily in the refrigerator and has a
unique cleaning button that purges steam through the internal parts to
prevent milk from drying and going sour. This interchangeable system can
also be quickly swapped out with an included hot water wand for tea. All
the parts are dishwasher-safe.
DeLonghi designed the Perfecta 5500 so that you could easily set it to
remember your favorite espresso and milk-based drinks. The Perfecta 5500
already comes preset with 4 standard cafe espresso and coffee sizes, but
it also includes the "My Coffee" option so you can make your own creation.
Turn the rotary dial to "My Coffee" and hold the 1 cup button until the
screen says programming. When the desired amount of coffee has been
dispensed, press the 1 cup button again and the 5500 will remember that
setting. This also works for the cappuccino and latte button, so that you
may enjoy drinks perfectly suited to your tastes.
The DeLonghi Perfecta 5500 has not one, but two, premium water heating
systems to provide the proper brewing and steaming power for you coffee
drinks with a very fast cycling time. Unlike a traditional boiler,
thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand
water usage. Turn on the Perfecta 5500, and it will be ready to brew AND
steam in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water
through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to
what the user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale
sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time, and the stainless
steel lining prevents your fresh water from ever acquiring a metal taste.
Additionally, the Perfecta 5500 has a cup warming platform set just above
the boiler to help prewarm your espresso or coffee cups.
DeLonghi designers know their coffee and have implemented patented
grinding technology so that "What you grind is what you brew." The
Perfecta 5500's conical burr grinder discharges directly into DeLonghi's
variable brew group that can brew up to 2 drinks at once. The removable
brew group is easy to clean (just rinse under warm water) to ensure a
tasty brew and long life of the Perfecta 5500. Additionally, the
ultra-compact size of the brew group reduces the distance water must
travel and ultimately results in hotter coffee in your cup.
DeLonghi engineered the Perfecta 5500's grinder to be easy on the ears.
The professional-grade, hardened steel conical burrs rotate at a low speed
with minimal noise to produce consistent, fresh, and aromatic espresso and
coffee. It it fed by a 7.1 ounce coffee bean hopper and has 13 different
fineness adjustments to accommodate a wide variety of coffee roasts.
If you like to experiment with new coffee roasts or have a need for decaf
from time to time, the DeLonghi Perfecta 5500 offers a clever pre-ground
option so that you do not have to swap out beans from the grinder. Simply
add 1 scoop (scoop included) of freshly ground coffee into the funnel and
have a custom brew in seconds.
The Perfecta 5500's 60 ounce water tank is visible from the side but pulls
straight out from the front so that you never need to pull out the entire
machine just to fill the water tank.
As with any coffee or espresso machine, the DeLonghi Perfecta 5500 must be
properly maintained to ensure long life and excellent taste. Thankfully,
DeLonghi engineers made this process a breeze. To clean the brewing
system, simply turn the power off on your Perfecta 5500 and then open the
front door. Remove the brew group, rinse under warm water and replace.
Descaling of the boiler is also a critically important process, especially
if you are not using treated water. The Perfecta 5500 will alert you when
you need to descale based on the water hardness level indicated on the
provided test strip. The process is fully automated; when the LCD screen
says to descale, all you must do is add the solution and press a button. |
